 rs to this long tradition\, has cast its net wide for 21st century Austral
 ian storytellers to enthral modern readers. Entries were received from all
  over Australia\, from Australians living overseas\, and from established 
 as well as emerging writers\, with the winner to receive a cash prize of $
 1\,000\, and second and third placegetters $400 and $200 respectively.&nbs
 p\;</p>\n<p>Competition judge\, Dr Liz Monument\, is a Geelong novelist\, 
 editor and writing coach whose clients include HarperCollins and Jericho W
 riters.</p>\n<p>Please join us for an evening featuring conversations with
  authors of the winning stories\, short readings and audience discussion. 
 There will be an opportunity to mingle over drinks and savouries following
  the presentation.</p>\n<p><em>Geelong Writers Inc. is a not-for-profit co
