\nDuring the last three decades Tim Pinnick has been hardwired into the world of African American genealogy\, as a writer\, sp eaker\, instructor. His long-time love affair with researching in universi ty libraries culminated in 2019 with the debut of a landmark workshop cour se entitled &ldquo\;Building an African American Research Toolbox&rdquo\; at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research. In recent years\, T im created the business History and Genealogy Spotlight. It specializes in assisting libraries and individuals in identifying new and used African A merican books relevant to the African American research process.
