\nAlexandra (or Sandra as she likes to be called) is Family and Community H ealth Sciences Educator for Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Hunterdon Cou nty. She holds national certifications as a Registered Dietitian and Certi fied Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. \;
\nSandra has com pleted advanced training in adult and pediatric weight management. She is a Peer Leader for the Stanford Chronic Disease Self-Management programs\, a Certified CDC National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) Lifestyle Coac h\, and Qualified Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) ins tructor. \;
\nIn her work as FCHS Educator in Hunterdon County\, Sandra provides a variety of chronic disease prevention and health promot ion programs for people of all ages. She facilitates interactive peer supp ort groups for diabetes management and mindful eating. As an avid gardener \, Sandra also enjoys using garden-based nutrition education with children and families to support healthy eating. She provides extensive outreach\, through webinars and workshops\, in safe home food preservation methods f or consumers.
