Explore outer space by examining constella tions visible in Southern Ontario's night sky. Observe a real meteorite fr om the London Children's Museum's collection. Families will experiment wit h their own impact craters and measure how changes in the impactor affect the resulting crater. \;  \;

Materials Needed at Home:

\n

- a container (Options: Tupperware\, bins or even recyclables work gr eat!)
- loose material (Options: flour\, cocoa powder\, sand\, dirt e tc.). Fill your container 1-2 inches deep with whatever you have chosen! T ip: 2 inches of flour with a light sprinkling of cocoa powder (or cinnamon ) works great!
- 2 objects of different size and weight (i.e. a ping pong ball and a tennis ball etc. It can be anything as long as it fits ins ide the container!)
- Optional: something to measure with (Options: R uler or measuring tape)
