OuVocal\, Flute \, violin and guitar suppo rted by Tabla the percussion instrument . Hindustani is a classical mode o f music from Northern part of India and is based on &lsquo\; Raaga&rsquo\; i.e\, a melodic concept composed of varied combinations of the 7 musical notes. The Raagas also represent and evoke moods of different seasons\, as well as moods of each part of a day\, from early morning to middle of the night.
\nThis music also renders itself to spiritual expression in the form called as Keertans and bhajans .
\nFinally as it evolves ev en today\, the classical music is heavily borrowed into popular musical en tertainment forming the basis of modern Bollywood movie songs.
\nThe musicians will present: \; Raag Malhar representing the rainy season\ , Raag Pilu - the spring festival of colors\, a feel of early morning as e voked by Raag Bhairavi and other keerthans. The concert will end with more contemporary melodies.
