 Researcher in the Division for Diversity\, Equity &amp\; Inclusion at the 
 University of Virginia. She researches the laborers who built the Universi
 ty.<br />&nbsp\;<br />Dr. Murphy is a nationally recognized genealogist wh
 o has been performing research for over 30 years. She is the founder of&nb
 sp\;<strong><a href="https://familytreegirl.com/">familytreegirl.com</a></
 strong>&nbsp\;and known for her &ldquo\;SO WHAT&rdquo\; approach to geneal
 ogical research. Dr. Murphy is the president\, coordinator\, and instructo
 r for the <strong><a href="http://www.maagiinstitute.org/">Midwest African
  American Genealogy Institute (MAAGI)</a></strong> and active speaker at m
 any of the regional and state genealogy conferences. Most recently\, she h
 as been working to develop staff and public educational programs for the <
 strong><a href="https://cfh.iaamuseum.org/">Center for Family History at t
 he International African American Museum</a></strong>&nbsp\; opening this
