 Protest and Change in D.C.</em></strong>\, is the Martin Luther King Jr. M
 emorial Library&rsquo\;s permanent exhibit. It was installed as a part of 
 the modernization of the Library\, to honor Dr. King&rsquo\;s message and 
 his connection to local activism. This permanent exhibit will serve as a p
 ortal to the Library&rsquo\;s resources\, especially The People&rsquo\;s A
 rchive\, and a laboratory for engagement with Washington\, D.C.&rsquo\;s p
 ast\, present\, and future. It features two main galleries:</p>\n<p><em>A 
 Revolution of Values</em>\, in the West Gallery\, provides a fresh look at
  the issues that moved local activists and Martin Luther King Jr. to take 
 action for justice.</p>\n<p><em>D.C. Represented</em>\, in the East Galler
 y\, highlights local politics and history through displays on D.C. Mayor-F
 or-Life Marion Barry\, D.C. home rule\, and the cultural impact of go-go a
 nd punk music.</p>\n<p>Tours of the permanent exhibit are held every Tuesd

 </p>\n<p><strong>Floor 5: Invisible Words</strong>\, on view March 13-June
  30\, 2022\, features a curated collection of signs made by people experie
 ncing homelessness worldwide. Invisible Words is brought to Washington\, D
 .C.\, through the Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) and the Eleven Eleven Fou
 ndation. IVC is a national lay Catholic organization that harnesses the ex
 pertise of individuals over fifty who have the passion and commitment to m
 ake a difference in issues impacting the world. IVC members serve among th
 e materially poor in twenty regions across the US\, reverently entering th
 e lived experience of others while providing their skills to over three hu
 ndred social service organizations. By co-sponsoring Invisible Words\, IVC
  seeks to offer a broader audience the opportunity to increase awareness a
 nd compassion for people facing homelessness and dire poverty.</p>\n<p>For
