This class is designed to learn to write p oetry in Spanish while exploring and engaging with literary resources.&nbs p\; Through in-class activities and analysis of poems by Spanish and Latin American poets\, participants will delve into those aspects that entail w riting poetry\, from the moment a poem is born\, to its revision as a fini shed text. Some of the authors to examine include: Federico Garcia Lorca\, Octavio Paz\, Alejandra Pizarnik\, Pablo Neruda\, Rosario Castellanos\, J orge Borges\, Cecilia Meireles\, Coral Bracho\, and Nancy Morejon. \;< /p>\n

Required texts: Twentieth Century Latin American Poetry edited by Stephen Tapscott.
