 d simple techniques. This event addresses key points to help understand wh
 at is going on in the brain and nervous system while we are under stress\,
  and more importantly\, what are practical ways to cultivate our own welln
 ess\, alleviate stress and regulate our emotions when we need it.&nbsp\;</
 p>\n<p>Participants will leave with practices in real-time techniques&nbsp
 \;that can be used in day-to-day living. Plan to hear concepts related to 
 our physiology and experience different meditation practices to soothe the
  nervous system.</p>\n<p>This event is presented and sponsored by Rachel W
 ixey of <a href="http://rachel-wixey.com/">Wixey Center for Wellness</a> a
 nd is part of <a href="https://www.toledolibrary.org/bettertoledo">Better 
 Toledo</a>\, a personal and professional development series to ensure &ldq
 uo\;you will do better in Toledo.&rdquo\; Certificates of completion are a

 >Rachel Wixey</strong> is a student\, teacher\, coach and group facilitato
 r of meditation for wellness and profound self-care. She is also Founder a
 nd Director of Wixey Center for Wellness\, and loves spending time in the 
 Center and with schools and business organizations. Her work in this field
  helps others establish an understanding of the effects of stress on the b
 rain and nervous system\, and meditation practices to support mental\, emo
 tional and physical health and wellness.</p>\n<p>Rachel holds a BA in Engl
 ish/Writing from the University of Toledo and is a Member of the Internati
 onal Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA). The formal training Rachel&r
 squo\;s is most proud of is Mindful Schools Teacher Certification\, which 
 has prepared her to teach mindfulness curriculum to K-12 Youth. Rachel is 
 also certified through Mindful Leader as Certified Workplace Mindfulness F
 acilitator\, and is a trained Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP
 ) through PESI\, bringing trauma-informed sensitivity to her work.</p>\nht
