  and community.&nbsp\; In difficult times\, art and creativity can provide
  a chance to heal and connect to others.&nbsp\; At this event we will have
  art supplies as well as some inspiration and ideas from local artists.&nb
 sp\; Come draw\, cut\, color\, collage and write with us.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nb
 sp\;</p>\n<p>Let&rsquo\;s come together as a community to make some beauti
 ful reflective art! Participants are invited to both make and take a piece
  for themselves and also to make and donate a piece to the Healing Hearts 
 Community Collage which will be on exhibit at Museum of the Grand Prairie 
 in September of 2022.</p>\n<p>Special guests:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cindy Sampson
  is a mixed media artist with over 30 years as a professional artist. She 
 works with eco dyed paper and hand painted papers that she incorporates in
 to her artwork.&nbsp\;Cindy will be assembling donated pieces from this wo
 rkshop and beyond\, into a collective piece at Museum of the Grand Prairie
  called\, &ldquo\;Healing Hearts: Community Covid Collage.&rdquo\;</li>\n<
 li>America is a local painter and the owner of Simply Made by Mery\, offer
 ing custom acrylic paintings. She's participated in Urbana's Culture Fest 
 as a featured artist.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>Danyla Nash is the in
 augural City of Urbana's Youth Poet Laureate and a founding member of the 
 Writers of Oya. She is passionate about sharing creative writing and spoke
 n word.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Cosponsored by the Urbana Arts and Culture and
  the<strong> <a href="museumofthegrandprairie.org">Museum of the Grand Pra
 irie</a></strong>.</em><br />&nbsp\;<br />This event was inspired by the H
 ealing Hearts Community Covid Collage - collage / assemblage piece being c
 reated by artist Cindy Sampson at the Museum of the Grand Prairie this sum
 mer.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Community members are invited to contribute photos\, ar
 t\, poems\, artifacts and ephemera that speak to the multiple pandemics oc
 curring in our community and world from March 2020 to the present. <br />&
