 n the third Tuesday of every month at 6PM in the Nordlof Center. The forma
 t is comprised of an open mic followed by a poetry slam. You do not need t
 o sign up prior to the event for either the open mic or the poetry slam. T
 here are no rules for the open mic except that your performance must be un
 der ten minutes\; you do not have to perform poetry at the open mic. To pa
 rticipate in the poetry slam\, the rules are as follows. You must bring tw
 o poems of under three minutes each. They must be original works written b
 y the competitor. No costumes\, props\, or musical accompaniment are permi
 tted. Three randomly chosen judges from the audience will give each poem a
  score from zero to ten. The top three poets from the first round will the
 n advance to the second round. Cheesy dollar store prizes will be awarded
