Grab a partner and learn to lindy hop in t he style of swing dancing that originated in the 1930's\; East Coast Swing plus so much more! Participants will learn 8-count and 6-count footwork\, how to swing out\, add styling and glide around the dance floor!

Your instructor\, Sydnie Kleinhenz\, will guide you for through the basics of this partnered dance style. After this class\, you will have the oppor tunity to try out your new moves in front of a live band on July 24th\, wh en Western Swing Rules plays in the library's event center. \;

Sydnie Kleinhenz became interested swing dancing in 2010 and has been learning and practicing ever since. With man y years of ballet and jazz in her background\, a degree in Physical Educat ion\, thirteen years as a classroom teacher\, and the ability to lead and follow\, Sydnie looks forward to spreading the fundamentals of swing danci ng with all the twirls and excitement of the original 1930&rsquo\;s and 19 40&rsquo\;s Lindy Hoppers.
