This class will look at examples of hybrid work\, and attendees will create a broadside\, an art print that incorpor ates imagery and printed text\, typically highlighting a poem or short pie ce of prose\, in class. Please bring a work you'd like to make into a broa dside along with you.

\nAllison Blevins is a poet and publisher who writes confessional free verse poetry and finds inspiration in both traditional and pop culture. She writes to conf ess her sins and connect with a world she feels largely disconnected from as a neurodiverse person and a person with a physical disability. Her work centers difference and queerness in a world that seeks to other\, to push her to the margins. She uses hybrid techniques to open the boundaries of free verse. Her work lives in a space between poetry\, flash nonfiction\, and abstract art.
