  in October 1999 by a handful of home gardeners who had learned through tr
 ial and error how to grow and maintain beautiful landscapes and gardens. W
 e wanted to share our experiences and knowledge with others. A great perce
 ntage of Floridians are from northern and western areas of our vast countr
 y and find that nearly everything they knew about gardening did not apply 
 to South Florida. The Garden Club of Coral Springs is far\, far\, far more
  than just a flower club. It&rsquo\;s hoped that this Web site allows you 
 a glimpse at just how complex this young\, 21-year-old nonprofit organizat
 ion is\, as well as how attuned the organization's volunteer leadership is
