\; \; \; \;A lifetime re sident of Akron\, Judy traces her Summit County roots to the early 1800s w hen her German immigrant ancestors settled in what is now Coventry Townshi p. She retired in 2016 from the Akron-Summit County Public Library where s he was employed for more than 35 years and managed Special Collections\, t he Library's local history and genealogy division\, for over 15 years. She is a graduate of the Ohio State University and received her Master's degr ee in Library and Information Science from Kent State University. Her love of local history\, family history\, and food was the inspiration for this book. She and her husband\, Jeff live in the heart of an old neighborhood that was home to many of Akron's early immigrants.
\nJudy will be joined by Bob Ethington\, former manager of th e Library's Culture &\; AV Division. Bob is now on the Friends of the Main Library \;boar d and will interview Judy about her work on this book. The book will be av ailable to purchase from the Friends of the Main Library and Judy will als o be available to sign copies after the event. \;
