 ogh was born on March 30\, 1853.</p>\n<p>Jay Schuck is an independent cura
 tor and art historian from Long Island\, NY. He received his B.A. (magna c
 um laude\, 2013) and M.A. (2019) in Art History &amp\; Criticism from Ston
 y Brook University. His graduate thesis\, <em>Sculpting the Soul: The Bust
  Portraiture of Gian Lorenzo Bernini</em>\, received the inaugural &ldquo\
 ;Outstanding M.A. Thesis Award&rdquo\; from Stony Brook University&rsquo\;
 s Department of Art. His research focuses primarily on the relationship be
 tween painting\, sculpture\, and art theory in Early Modern Italy. Jay has
  presented art historical lectures for a number of cultural institutions a
