  class.</strong></p>\n<p>You will practice and be able to distinguish betw
 een two methods for melting chocolate. You will understand how and why to 
 use a water bath or bain marie. Learn why sea salt pairs beautifully with 
 chocolate\, even in a dessert and discuss other balanced flavor pairings f
 or chocolate.</p>\n<p><strong>Although it is virtual\, this class is hands
  on and paced for you to cook along. If you plan to bake with us\, you wil
 l need to secure your own ingredients and do a small amount of prep. See <

 p>Laura Scheck is a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC and t
 he founder of Teaching Table\, a culinary education platform that inspires
  home cooks of all ages to cook with what they have. Laura has always had 
 a passion for food\, where it comes from and how to make it\, but became m
 ost invested in plant-based foods when she started her neighborhood CSA (C
 ommunity Supported Agriculture) with neighbors and developed a relationshi
 p with her farmers. Laura previously worked as a teacher and coach for edu
 cators\, making her uniquely suited to share her passion for food in an ed
 ucational way. She has taught at Natural Gourmet Institute\, Mount Sinai I
 nstitute for Advanced Medicine\, Brooklyn Brainery\, Bronxville Adult Scho
