\nPatrice and Justin La Vigne live in a dry cabin outside o f Denali National Park in Alaska. The couple has lived in 14 states and wo rked on the road as nomads around the &ldquo\;lower 48&rdquo\; for 10 year s\, ultimately deciding Alaska was their forever home. They are hiking gui des\, environmental educators and freelance writers\, whose work has been featured in Backpacker\, Outside\, OutdoorLife\ , Alaska Magazine and more. Patrice is also the author of Bet ween Each Step: A Married Couple&rsquo\;s Thru Hike on New Zealand&rsquo\; s Te Araroa. They also have worked for Leave No Trace as traveling tr ainers. Collectively\, they have hiked more than 12\,000 miles and are clo se to their goal of visiting all the National Parks and climbing all the s tate high points. \;
