X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p><strong>Please note that this is a VIRTUAL
EVENT. Registrants will receive an e-mail 24 hours before the start of th
e program with an invitation to join.</strong></p>\n<p>Midlife requires a
radical imagination: a willingness to tell ourselves new and better storie
s about our lives. We need narratives that encourage us to connect the dot
s between past\, present\, and future in a way that allows us to reflect o
n who we&rsquo\;ve been\, who we are\, and who we hope to become\, and to
reconnect with our hopes and dreams for ourselves\, our families\, and our
  communities.</p>\n<p>In this thought-provoking workshop\, <a href="https:
//www.anndouglas.ca/">Ann Douglas</a> will reflect on the conversations sh
e had with the more than 100 midlife women she interviewed for her brand-n
ew book <em>Navigating the Messy Middle: a Fiercely Honest and Wildly Enco
uraging Guide for Midlife Women.</em></p>\n<p>In addition to sharing some
highlights from her research\, Anne will also encourage participants in to
reflect on their own learning and growth as midlife women and to share so
me of that thinking and learning with others.</p>\n<p>Expect a workshop th
at is kind\, encouraging\, and real&mdash\;and that leaves you feeling any
 thing but alone.</p>\n<p>Presenter bio</p>\n<p>For decades\, Ann Douglas w
as Canada&rsquo\;s go-to expert on all things parenting. Now that her kids
have grown up and left home\, she&rsquo\;s turning her attention to the g
lorious messiness that is midlife. The author of twenty-five non-fiction b
ooks\, including many bestselling titles in the parenting category\, Ann i
s also a passionate and inspiring speaker who delivers keynote addresses a
nd leads small-group workshops at conferences and online events.</p>\n<p>P
