  at the&nbsp\;Chicago Tribune&nbsp\;and ESPN\, Melissa was the first femal
 e principal beat writer for the Bulls and Bears at the&nbsp\;Tribune\,&nbs
 p\;covering every major U.S. sports championship and overseas\, the Olympi
 cs and Wimbledon among others. Now an assistant professor at Northwestern&
 rsquo\;s Medill School of Journalism\, she also has a lot to share about h
 er own experience as a member of Illinois&rsquo\; 1979 state champion high
  school basketball team. On this 50th&nbsp\;Anniversary of the passage of 
 Title IX\, Melissa will recount how this historic bill has transformed gir
 ls&rsquo\; sports and lives.</p>\n<p>This program will be held in-person l
