 that involves a&nbsp\;series of gentle physical movements. It is frequentl
 y&nbsp\;described as meditation in motion &ndash\; also medication in&nbsp
 \;motion. It promotes serenity and is a mind-body&nbsp\;intervention. From
  a physical standpoint\, Tai Chi helps&nbsp\;improve balance\, agility\, p
 osture\, breath\, and more. It can&nbsp\;be used for the treatment and pre
 vention of psychosomatic&nbsp\;disorders involving stress\, such as hypert
 ension\,&nbsp\;respiratory ailments\, gastrointestinal problems\,&nbsp\;he
 adaches\, pain\, dermatitis\, ulcers\, and more.&nbsp\; <strong>For this c
 lass there is a $5 cash fee payable to the instructor.</strong></p>\n<p>Ta
 i Chi as a relaxation intervention is known to benefit&nbsp\;anxiety\, dep
 ression\, blood pressure\, to improve&nbsp\;immune function\, to increase 
 blood levels of endorphins&nbsp\;which interact with the receptors in your
  brain that&nbsp\;reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger&
 nbsp\;a positive feeling in the body.</p>\n<p>Wear comfortable athletic cl
 othing and sneakers.&nbsp\; Program is geared for adults\; interested teen
 s are welcome.</p>\n<p><strong>About the Instructor:</strong>&nbsp\; Jeri 
 Beaumont is a former professional dancer with an extensive background in m
 any forms of dance. Jeri started her career working as a classical dancer 
 in the Radio City Music Hall&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Ballet Corps&rdquo\;. She la
 ter appeared on Broadway and performed in Night Clubs. Jeri also performed
  at the famous New Jersey Meadowbrook Dinner Theatre. While teaching balle
 t at Montclair State University\, Jeri discovered her interest in Nutritio
 n and went on to to become a Registered Dietitian and thus began her secon
 d career\, working primarily with the Senior Nutrition Programs in both Un
 ion and Bergen Counties. It was during that time that Jeri started her tra
 ining with Harry Legg of New Jersey Tai Chi\, discovering the joy and bene
 fits of Tai Chi and going on to becoming certified as an instructor throug
