You are welcome to check out seeds from ou r Seed Library year-round. On Saturday\, October 15 we wi ll have a special systemwide event to bring the community together to cele brate seeds\, gardens\, and home agriculture. We'll teach seed saving skil ls\, and accept donations of seeds from your own garden! (see below for de tails on seed donations.)

Grab a Library "Passport" and get sta mped at any three City Library locations on Saturday\, October 15< /strong>\, and you'll be entered into a random drawing to win a fruit tree or a berry bush. \;

Checking Out Seeds :

When you check out seeds from the Seed Library\, yo u'll become a member of the program and recieve a quarterly newsletter wit h upcoming events and gardening resources. You are encouraged to take as m any seeds as you want. Please take only as many seeds as you will actually grow and share. We cannot guarantee that your seeds will germinate and fl ourish\, but we are happy to offer networks of resources and support for y ou in your gardening endeavors. \;

Returning Seeds:

We must protect the seeds and agriculture that our l ives depend on\, keeping a stable foundation for future generations. We as k all donors to promise that they are returning viable seeds that are labe led correctly. Please do not donate seeds that are more than 5 years old. Label your seeds clearly with name\, variety\, and year harvested. If you would like to be credited with donating seeds\, add your name to the label . Make sure that seeds are in a well-sealed bag\, box\, or envelope. \ ;
