 al music and to reach audiences in new and innovative ways. Voces Latinas 
 (Latinx Voices)&nbsp\;is curated by SoNA musician <strong>Raul Munguia</st
 rong>&nbsp\;(Honduras/USA) and celebrates the vital impact Latinx artists 
 have in culture and our community.</p>\n<p><strong>SoNA Beyond - Voces Lat
 inas will take audiences from Mexico through the Andes\, highlighting the 
 richness and diversity of classical and traditional repertoire written by 
 Latin-American composers.</strong> The performance will feature both piece
 s that have been under-represented or even unheard as well as more establi
 shed and well-loved works. Featuring SoNA musicians Duo Capriccioso\, Sout
 h American performing artist and composer Amado Espinoza\, and others. Voc
 es Latinas&nbsp\;will include treasured time-honored classics as well as c
 ontemporary Latinx voices of today.</p>\n<p>This concert is co-presented b
 y SoNA and the Fayetteville Public Library in celebration of Hispanic Heri

 p>\n<p>SoNA Beyond showcases the vast spectrum of possibilities for classi
 cal music to reach audiences in new and innovative ways. SoNA Beyond prese
 nts a variety of concerts\, programs\, and other creative arts experiences
  that go beyond the symphony&rsquo\;s annual mainstage season of concerts.
  The new series features symphony musicians in creative ways\, including c
 hamber music performances\, outdoor educational concerts\, community partn
 erships\, groundbreaking contemporary experiences\, and more.&nbsp\; SoNA 
 Beyond rethinks the boundaries of what a symphony can do to innovate the a
 rtform\, include new voices\, and immerse SoNA in the Northwest Arkansas c
 ommunity &ndash\; to give audiences an expansive view of what classical mu
 sic is and who it serves.</p>\n<p>SoNA Beyond is sponsored by the Walmart 
 Foundation.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>About Dr. Raul Munguia &amp\; 
 Duo Capriccioso:&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Raul Munguia</strong>
  is Director of Orchestras and the violin/viola professor at Pittsburg Sta
 te University where&nbsp\;leads the Graduate Orchestral Conducting Program
 \, teaches applied High Strings\,&nbsp\;Chamber Music\,&nbsp\;and String T
 ech courses. Dr. Munguia is a thriving conductor\, chamber musician\, and 
 orchestral musician who received his Doctoral of Musical Arts in Orchestra
 l Conducting from Texas Tech University. Dr. Munguia holds a Masters in Mu
 sic from Northwestern State University of Louisiana with emphasis in orche
 stral conducting and violin performance and a Bachelor of Music from the U
 niversity of Southern Mississippi. A strong advocate of music education\, 
 Dr. Munguia has served as a clinician\, guest conductor\, and coach for se
 veral District and Honor orchestras in Missouri\, Texas\, Kansas\, Mississ
 ippi\, Louisiana\, and Honduras.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Dr. Munguia enjoys an acti
 ve guest conducting schedule working with orchestras in his native country
  of Honduras\, El Salvador\, Chile\, and Brazil. Dr. Munguia is also the f
 ounder of the first Orchestral Conducting Workshop of Honduras hosting its
  first edition in January of 2019. At PSU\, he also hosts the Pitt State I
 nternational Conducting Workshop every other year bringing aspiring studen
 t conductors from Latin America. Dr. Munguia is also the Music Director an
 d Conductor of the Southeast Kansas Symphony at Pittsburg State University
  and the PSU Chamber Orchestra.&nbsp\; A passionate proponent for the cham
 ber music genre\, Dr. Munguia launched in 2019 his chamber ensemble "Duo C
 apriccioso" with flutist Denissa Rivas exploring Latin American Repertoire
  as well as nearly four centuries of rare works and continue to commission
  new works. Dr. Munguia also founded the Pittsburg Music Festival held ann
 ually every summer in the city of Pittsburg\, Kansas bringing many local\,
  regional\, and nationally renowned artists.&nbsp\; Dr. Munguia serves as 
 the Principal Violist of the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra\, section-vio
 lin of the Fort Smith Symphony\, and the Symphony Orchestra of Northwest A
 rkansas. Along with his active orchestral career\, his latest commitments 
 as a soloist include the Honduras Philharmonic Orchestra\, the Paraguay Sy
 mphony Orchestra\, the Natchitoches-Northwestern Symphony\, the San Pedro 
 Sula Symphony\, among others. He has performed in numerous recitals in the
  US as well as in Latin America collaborating with artists exploring newly
  composed works from Latin American composers.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><st
 rong>Duo Capriccioso:</strong> Flautist&nbsp\;Denissa Rivas&nbsp\;and viol
 inist&nbsp\;Ra&uacute\;l Mungu&iacute\;a&nbsp\;perform as Duo Capriccioso.
  This dynamic ensemble performs an eclectic repertoire that includes music
  from the elegant classical repertoire to the sensual rhythms of Latin Ame
 rican music. Duo Capriccioso gave its inaugural concert in August 2019 at 
 the Bicknell Family Centre for the Arts in Pittsburg\, Kansas with pianist
  Bob Ensor. The name &lsquo\;Capriccioso&rsquo\;\, meaning capricious\, re
 fers to the adaptability of the duo to perform accompanied with piano or g
 uitar\, and to the performers playing other instruments such as viola or p
