heal in the face of trauma?&nbsp\;How can we transform intergenerational p
ain into a passion for community and healing?<strong><br /><br /></strong>
Presenting herself as "Myrtle\," residential school survivor and Indigenou
s television personality Bevann Fox explores essential questions by recoun
ting her life through fiction. She shares memories of an early childhood f
illed with love with her grandparents&mdash\;until she is sent to resident
ial school at the age of seven. This is the story of Myrtle battling to re
cover her voice. It is a powerful confirmation of the long-lasting consequ
ences of residential school violence&mdash\;and a moving story of finding
 a path toward healing.<br /><br /><em>You do not have to be a Burlington P
ublic Library cardholder to attend this event.</em><br /><br /><br /></p>\
