X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>This program\, with local Chef Jennifer Ti
dwell of Jenuine Cuisines\, will be presented on Zoom.</p>\n<p>In this ong
oing series\, local chefs will prepare a budget-friendly\, seasonal dish w
ith fresh produce available at the Summit Lake Neighborhood Farmer's Marke
t and/or Let's Grow Akron Community Farm Market. Details about these marke
ts will be shared at each session and found on Let's Grow Akron's website:
 &nbsp\;<a href="http://www.letsgrowakron.org">www.letsgrowakron.org.</a></
p>\n<p>FREE Food kits\, including the ingredients needed to prepare the se
asonal dish\, will be available for pick up at the Kenmore Branch Library
for the first ten people to register.</p>\n<p>The&nbsp\;theme for this ser
ies of classes is local\, seasonal eating. The benefits of cooking and eat
ing produce grown locally and harvested in season will be emphasized. Seas
onal produce is more readily available and affordable at grocery stores or
farmers' markets. Local produce is harvested closer to ripeness and trave
ls a shorter distance from the farm to the grocery store\, retaining more
nutrients and reducing its environmental impact. Purchasing from local gro
wers and producers stimulates and strengthens the local economy. Seasonal
produce grown and harvested locally has the best flavor!</p>\n<p>Each clas
 s will include a 30-minute cooking demonstration plus 15 minutes for Q&amp
\;A and 15 minutes to share information about Let's Grow Akron Community F
arm Market\, Summit Lake Neighborhood&nbsp\;Farmer's&nbsp\;Market\, and lo
cal farmer's market nutrition incentive programs.</p>\n<p>If you do not ha
ve an email address\, please contact the Kenmore Branch at 330.643.4650 to
learn how to participate in this program via phone.</p>\n<hr />\n<p></p>\
