  follows the talk</p>\n<p>Ukrainian fiction writer and poet Ivan Baidak re
 ads from and discusses his latest novel\, "(In)visible\," his first book t
 o be translated into English. Shaped after the writer&rsquo\;s own experie
 nce of living with Tourette&rsquo\;s syndrome\, (In)visible was recognized
  by PEN Ukraine as a best novel of 2020. The book tells the stories of peo
 ple with visible disabilities and disorders as they learn to overcome soci
 ety's limitations to live a full and happy life.</p>\n<p>Ð†van Baidak's
 &nbsp\; debut novel\, "Personally Me Personally for You\," became a nation
 al bestseller\, and his two short story collections topped bookstore bests
 eller lists. Originally from Lviv\, Ukraine\, he recently arrived in Canad
 a in September 2022.</p>\n<p>Attendees are welcome to email events@bpl.on.

 /em><br />Diagnosed with Tourette&rsquo\;s syndrome as a teenager\, Adam\,
  now a 26-year-old freelance designer\, attends his first meeting at a soc
 ial support group. Here he meets Anna\, a charity worker with a facial hem
 angioma\; Marta\, a TV anchor with alopecia\; and Eva\, a makeup artist wi
 th vitiligo. The following week he moves in with them. "In(visible)" is Ad
 am's journey as he moves from self-inflicted invisibility to being visible
 &mdash\;in his family\, career\, and personal life.</p>\n<p><a href="https
