This workshop is for young people in middl e school and high school (ages 11-18). Classes will be held for three cons ecutive days inside the Black Box Theater on September 26th\, 27th &\; 28th where youths will learn about writing and performing poetry. Workshop classes will go from 6pm to 8pm. On Friday September 30th\, there will be an open mic showcase held at the RPL Nordlof Center where the young atten dees of the workshop can practice and showcase what they have learned. Dia nna Tyler also known as Goddess Warrior The Poet is winner of the 2021 Chi cago Music Awards for the Best Spoken Word Artist of the year.
\nOn October 8th 2022\, Goddess Warrior The Poet is also hosting a National Poe try Slam Competition at the RPL Nordlof Theater where Professional Poets w ill compete for cash prizes. Any parent who signs up their child to this w orkshop can ATTEND THE EVENT FOR FREE!!!
