This one and a half hour workshop teaches aspiring authors wh at it requires to take an idea and transform it into a finished manuscript . Professional writers and editors Marcy Barbaro and Alex Morin discuss wa ys of writing a book\, how to structure a book\, the ins and outs of publi shing vs. self-publishing\, and other nuggets of info that are helpful for first-time (and even veteran) authors. Attendees also roll-up their sleev es and\, by the end of the workshop\, walk away with the beginnings of a b ook outline.

He&rsquo\;s the co-founder of Working Writers Co.\, a mentorship for authors\, and the founder of Promonoise\, a n educational company that provides cutting-edge product review videos\, b usiness-related blogs\, podcasts\, and other resources. He&rsquo\;s also t he creator of Almost Enlightened\, a podcast and coaching company\, as wel l as Cacaoching\, his latest venture that combines spiritual teachings wit h the plant medicine of cacao. He&rsquo\;s got 20+ years of experience in promotional advertising\, having led sales and marketing teams as a Partne r for one of North America&rsquo\;s largest hard goods suppliers\, HPG. Al ex has a wife and three kids\, enjoys nature\, loves music and athletics\, and is passionate about learning and teaching. \;

Marcy Ba rbaro is a book author\, professional writer and editor\, a minds et coach/trainer\, and co-creator of Working Writers Co.\, a service to he lp other writers take their stories and turn them into manuscripts\, ready for the publishing world. As a certified adult educator (TATA) and yoga t eacher with over 2000 hours of teaching experience\, Marcy is a strong adv ocate of creating change without causing self harm. Although we all have w ork to do\, Marcy directly challenges the "Hustle Hard" mentality\, believ ing that we are more creative and effective when we harmonize work with re st. This takes passion and often a mindset change. Guiding you through thi s is Marcy's specialty. Her personal philosophy of self care spills into e very encounter that you have with her\; either online or in person.
