 ambers\, Monica Flink\, and Jonathan Turner--read from their contributions
  to the Midwest Writing Center Press collection <em>These Interesting Time
 s: Surviving 2020 in the Quad Cities. </em>This anthology features essays\
 , poems\, stories\, and artwork that\, together\, form a record of the con
 tributors' experiences of and reflections on a year like no other.</p>\n<p

 ormation:</p>\n<p>Joe Chambers was born in Iowa\, one of eight children. H
 e earned his B.S. in Psychology and his M.A. in Public Affairs from the Un
 iversity of Iowa. His poems have been published in <em>Off Channel</em> an
 d <em>Lyrical Iowa</em>. Joe and his wife\, Shelley\, share a house in Dav
 enport. Its views provide their daily connection to the Mississippi River.
 </p>\n<p>Monica Flink is an award-winning writer and baker from Davenport\
 , Iowa. When she's not writing or baking\, she is usually stopping her cat
 \, Cinder\, from causing mayhem. Her essay is dedicated to her number one 
 fan\, her mother\, and everyone else who has had a challenging 2020. Choos
 e kindness every day.</p>\n<p>Jonathan Turner of Bettendorf has been a pro
 fessional journalist for 34 years. He's written for newspapers in Connecti
 cut\, as well as <em>The Dispatch/Rock Island Argus</em> and <em>The Quad-
 City Times</em>. Since March 2020\, he's been a regular contributor to Qua
 dCities.com and WVIK. He is the author of <em>A Brief History of Bucktown:
  Davenport's Infamous District Transformed</em> and is currently the Digit
 al News Producer at Local 4 News WHBF TV.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;</p>\nhttp
