In partnership with the University of Arka nsas\, Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMS) is an international opportunity for students grades 4&ndash\;6 to engage wit h mathematics to strengthen their problem-solving skills and meet with oth er students excited about mathematics.

Two teams will be created - one for students in grades 4&ndash\;6 and one for those in 6&ndash\;8. St udents in grade 6 have the option of participating on either team. We will be meeting weekly to discuss general problem-solving strategies and to wo rk on problems from competitions in previous years. These free meetings wi ll take place from 5:30&ndash\;6:30 p.m. starting Wednesday\, October 19\, and will continue through Wednesday\, March 15. Five competitions will ta ke place approximately once a month. \; \;
