 llence\, it's Kwanzaa Time! We will open up with a welcome from the Africa
 n-American Research Library and Cultural Center. Followed by presentations
  that include the history of Kwanzaa\, West African Dance\, How to set up 
 your Kwanzaa table\, and a discussion on Kwanzaa.</p>\n<p>Kwanzaaâ€¯(/
 ËˆkwÉ‘Ën.zÉ™/) is an annual celebration ofâ€¯African&nbsp\;
 American cultureâ€¯that is held from December 26 to January 1. This ye

 l Center&nbsp\;</strong><br /><a href="https://www.broward.org/Library/Pag
 es/BranchDetails.aspx?branchInfo=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Bro
 ward County African American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC)
 </a>&nbsp\;is located in the Sistrunk community\, one of the oldest histor
 ically Black communities named for one of Fort Lauderdale&rsquo\;s first B
 lack physicians. Opening to the public on October 26\, 2002\, AARLCC becam
 e the third public library of its kind in the United States dedicated to t
 he study of Black history and culture. The 60\,000 square-foot Center serv
 es as a repository of materials related to the local\, national\, and inte
 rnational voices of the African diaspora with more than 85\,000 books\, ma
 nuscripts\, artifacts\, framed art\, print\, photography\, audiovisual\, a
 nd documents held in our Adult Services Section and Special Collections. T
 he Youth Services Section features a special collection of Coretta Scott K
 ing Award books and the Ashley Bryan Art Collection from illustrators of A
 frican Descent. AARLCC also features a 5\,000 sq. ft. museum\, a 300-seat
