Hailed by Library Journal as one of &ldquo \;24 Poets for the 21st Century\,&rdquo\; Ellen Doré\; Watson&rsquo\ ;s honors include a Rona Jaffe Writers Award\, fellowships to Yaddo and Ma cDowell\, a Zoland Poetry Fellowship to Vermont Studio Center\, and a Nati onal Endowment for the Arts Translation Fellowship.
\nShe is the tra nslator of a dozen volumes from Brazilian Portuguese\, most notably the po ems of Adé\;lia Prado\, including \;The Alphabet in the Park&nbs p\;(Wesleyan University Press)\, \;Ex-Voto \;(Tupelo Press)\, and& nbsp\;The Mystical Rose \;(Bloodaxe Books)\, which was shortlisted for the 2015 Popescu European Translation Prize. She has also co-translated c ontemporary Palestinian and Iraqi poetry from Arabic with Saadi Simawe.&nb sp\; \;
\nHer poems and translations have appeared widely in jou rnals\, including \;American Poetry Review\, \;Tin House\, \;O rion\, \;Field\, \;Ploughshares\, \;Gulf Coast \;and \ ;The New Yorker. New Prado translations have recently appeared in \;Pl ume\, \;Ploughshares \;and \;The Nation. Watson teaches at the Colrain Manuscript Conference. \; \;
