X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Welcome to Sound Cafe\, our new music prog
ramming series!&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Join us on November 16 for our very first v
isit to the Sound Caf&eacute\;! We will be spinning Kate Bush&rsquo\;s gro
undbreaking fourth album The Dreaming\, which turned 40 on 10 December 202
 1. Bush was only 23 when she made the record\, which have led some to the
conclusion that her first three albums were the work of a wunderkind\, whi
le The Dreaming marked the arrival of a musical genius. As is the case wit
h many groundbreaking works of art\, the record was considered Bush&rsquo\
;s most experimental and least commercial release and it sold poorly in Eu
rasia\, especially compared to the astounding success of her first three r
eleases. (It took Bush many years to become well-known in the States\; she
is still not considered a household name\, though her fans here are legio
n.) Since then\, The Dreaming has gained the admiration of artists as disp
arate as Bj&ouml\;rk and Big Boi (of Outkast)\, both of whom cite it as on
e of their favorite albums ever made\; Prince\, whom Bush would later work
with\, was also a great fan. Slant lists the album at No.&thinsp\;7
1 on its list of "Best Albums of the 1980s". It is also includ
ed in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die\, the Mojoâ
€¯"Top 50 Eccentric Albums of All Time" list\, and The Word
magazine's "Great Underrated Albums of Our Time" list.</p>\n<p>Join
  me\, Gregory Lowry\, and my co-hosts Amanda Westfall\, Anthony Vacca\, an
d Andrea Paschal as we spin the vinyl on the Sound Caf&eacute\;&rsquo\;s b
rand-new turntable and discuss its incalculable influence on the future of
music and the myriad of artists who have fallen under its spell. Please f
eel free to share stories of your own about this great record and artist.
We will be serving hot tea and biscotti! We look forward to seeing you!&nb
