Writers participating in the annual novel- writing challenge are welcome to attend any or all of the four scheduled w rite-ins (November 12\, 19\, 22\, and 28) for a dedicated quiet space to w ork on their manuscript. Each write-in is open for three hours\, and write rs are welcome to drop in and leave any time. This event is in partnership with the NWA chapter of NaNoWriMo and is open to adults and teens. Writer s are encouraged to bring their own writing materials\, though limited sup plies will be available should participants need them.

\nNational Novel Writing Month \;began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50\,000 words of a nove l in thirty days. Now\, each year on November 1\, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write\, determined to end the month with 50\,000 words of a brand new novel. They enter the month as elementary sc hool teachers\, mechanics or stay-at-home parents. They leave novelists.\n
