EVPL invites students from across the comm unity to submit a piece of art that represents what Black History Month me ans to them. \; The art will be on display during the month of Februar y at EVPL East with a special program on Friday\, February 17 from 5-6pm.& nbsp\; During this program\, students will be able to present their art pi ece to the community. \; Guests can also enjoy music\, snacks\, and be verages while viewing the art pieces. \; EVPL Manager\, Linda Baker\, hopes to engage the young people from across the city and involve them in the celebration of Black History Month. \; &ldquo\;I know of no better way to celebrate Black History Month than engaging our youth and the comm unity with art and music. \; There are so many young people who come t o EVPL East and other locations that are artistically talented\, and we wa nt to give them the space to show off their talent. \; We wanted to g o beyond a passive experience and truly involve our community in a true ce lebration of Black History.&rdquo\;

riday\, February 3 at 6:00pm. EVPL East is located at 840 E. Chandler Ave.
