 s will have the opportunity to approve a 0.5 percent local option sales ta
 x to be used to fund a new Regional Library/Community Center&nbsp\;in down
 town&nbsp\;Moorhead. Join us on November 3 for three informational session
 s (held at 12 p.m.\, 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.) to learn about the project a
 nd the ballot question.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Mayor Shelly Carlson appointed a ci
 tizen-led Community Center/Regional&nbsp\;Library&nbsp\;Task Force in fall
  2021 to work with the community to develop the vision for this project\, 
 including features/amenities and location.</p>\n<p>In spring 2022\, the Ta
 sk Force and the&nbsp\;City&nbsp\;of&nbsp\;Moorhead&nbsp\;held several pub
 lic listening sessions to learn what citizens wanted to see in the project
 . The feedback from these citizen-input sessions led to the creation of re
 nderings from JLG that show what the project could look like when complete
