April Lynne Earle is a member of the Lib
rary Faculty at Farmingdale State College\, a college of technology in the
State University of New York (SUNY) system. In addition to her primary ro
le as the cataloger\, she provides reference service and information liter
acy instruction. She received both her Masters in Library Science and Mast
er of Arts in Public History from St. John&rsquo\;s University\; where she
now teaches their Library Science course on Genealogical Sources &\; S
ervices. With over 30 years of personal genealogy research experience\, he
r real joy is helping others discover their family history. She hopes her
work helps people connect to the past in a more personal way through the s
tories of those who have gone before us.
