Join us for a discussion on different hous ing options for older adults and their families to consider as they age in their communities. Speaker Paula Taliaferro of the COAAA will explain the housing continuum and define common jargon. She will provide resources to help locate and assess these alternatives\, including their pricing struc tures. Each participant will also receive a housing and long term care gui de which lists and describes various options in Central Ohio.
\nThe Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA) is a non-profit governmental age ncy which arranges and coordinates services to help older and disabled ind ividuals with daily living. Examples include homemaking\, transportation. home delivered meals\, and personal care. The COAAA offers education and r esources to caregivers\, professionals\, and the public. The agency also a dvocates for programs and policies that benefit older adults and individua ls with disabilities. It manages services for 12\,500 people and funds ser vices for another 25\,000 older adults in eight counties: Delaware\, Fairf ield\, Fayette\, Franklin\, Licking\, Madison\, Pickaway\, and Union.
