 e!</p>\n<p><strong>About the presenter</strong>: John Milas grew up in Cha
 mpaign\, Illinois\, and earned a BA in creative writing from the Universit
 y of Illinois. He ventured out of Champaign to serve in the Marine Corps a
 nd subsequently earned his Master of Fine Arts in fiction writing under th
 e guidance of his thesis director\, Roxane Gay. His debut novel\, The Mili
 tia House\, was acquired by Henry Holt for publication\, and he is current
 ly at work on a collection of stories. His short fiction has appeared in p
 ublications such as The Southhampton Review\, XRAY Literary Magazine\, and
