Every three months\, Akron ArtWalk is held in the Historic Arts District on Friday nights. Community members ar e invited to downtown Akron to celebrate and enjoy food\, music\, art\, an d more. Each ArtWalk will have a specific theme that engages visitors with the arts in new ways. \;

Other participants include Summit Ar tSpace\, Akron Art Museum\, and the Nightlight Cinema.

For our Dec ember ArtWalk\, Main Library will offer a free performance by Mark Greer. A native of Akron\, Mark Greer graduated from Bowling Green State Universi ty with a B.M.\, magna cum laude\, in Music Performance\, and Kent State U niversity with a Master of Music in Piano. Praised as a &ldquo\;visionary musician&hellip\; with masterful playing\, which was perceptive\, brillian t and elegant\, showing a musical intelligence beyond his years\,&rdquo\; Greer is an accomplished pianist and composer\, winning top prizes in nume rous competitions and performing all over the country.
