 home to dozens of mussel species\, which have beautiful shells\, fascinati
 ng life-histories and great value to the ecology of our rivers and lakes. 
 Many of the 300+ species of American freshwater mussels are threatened or 
 endangered\, but efforts are underway to conserve them for our grandchildr
 en to enjoy. Dr. Pryor will discuss a study that he and his students condu
 cted in 2008 showing changes to the mussel community from over a century a
 go.</p>\n<p><em>This program is intended for adults. Register for all prog
