 arlisle&nbsp\;will discuss how the American kitchen has evolved from the s
 eventeenth-century to the present. Drawing on her book America&rsquo\;s Ki
 tchens\, co- authored with Melinda Narardinov\, Ms. Carlisle will discuss 
 the&nbsp\;technological and social changes that have taken place in this r
 oom and suggest how these innovations have transformed kitchen work and ch
 anged women&rsquo\;s lives.</p>\n<p>This program was originally scheduled 
 for early February and is a collaboration with Rockport Public Library and
  other area libraries. This program is funded in part by the Friends of Me
