Please join us for a discussion with autho r and founder of the Choose Love Movement\, \;Scarlett Lewis. She will be joined by illustrator Jane Weir Davidian to speak about her new book " Choosing Love: A Pathway to Flourishing". The book serves as a fundraiser for the Choose Love Movement\, \;founded in honor of her son\, Jesse L ewis\, who was murdered during the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in December 2012. As we near the 10-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook attac k\, Scarlett continues to spread the "Nurturing Healing Love" message that Jesse wrote on their kitchen chalkboard before his murder. \;She will share how writing and art can promote healing and love.

\nSca rlett Lewis founded the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement in honor of her son\, Jesse\, who was murdered during the Sandy Hook Elementary Sc hool tragedy in December 2012. After his death\, Scarlett decided to be pa rt of the solution to the issues we see in our society &ndash\; that also caused the tragedy&mdash\;and turned it into an opportunity to build a cul ture of love\, resilience\, forgiveness and connection in our communities.
\nShe created the Choose Love for Schools program\, which is a no c ost comprehensive program that teaches children how to thoughtfully respon d with love by using courage\, gratitude\, forgiveness and compassion-in-a ction. Reaching over 3 million children\, it demonstrates ways for childre n to handle adversity\, have courageous conversations and to respond with love. Hundreds of schools in Arkansas have incorporated \;the Choose L ove Movement's social emotional competence \;program in the past decad e.
