 .</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>April 3: Write What You Know</strong></p>\n<p>P
utting words on paper helps you make sense of the world around you\, expre
ss your deepest emotions\, create healthy&nbsp\;coping strategies for your
&nbsp\;deep personal needs\, or articulate an overwhelming sense of joy. T
his session will help you become a more active observer of your life\, les
s a bystander\, taking note of everything that comes into your peripheral
vision.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>April 5: Poems about Family and Its Utterly
Unique Bonds</strong></p>\n<p>The word &ldquo\;family&rdquo\; conjures im
ages and emotions. Many times we look at family with feelings of warmth\,
love\, happiness\, and safety. Many times\, however\, family can bring pai
n and frustration and flat out trauma. Families are as complicated as the
individuals that make them up. We&rsquo\;ll explore this through example p
oems and our writings in this 4 part series.</p>\n<p><strong>April 10: Poe
ms of Place</strong></p>\n<p>Poets often pay tribute to specific locations
in their poetry\, writing praise or criticism to landscapes\, bustling ci
 ties\, or areas of historical or personal significance. Whether it&rsquo\;
s your location or your current state of inner being\, we&rsquo\;ll explor
e through our writings poems about various places that map our lives.</p>\
 n<p><strong>April 12: Poems that Bear Witness</strong></p>\n<p>Poetry of w
itness argues that poets are perennial participants&nbsp\;in human history
. Poets bear witness to historical events and their impact. In this sessio
 n\, we&rsquo\;ll explore how poetry&nbsp\;archives historic&nbsp\;experien
ces and develop writing&nbsp\;strategies to clarify our own truths about h
 istory.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p></p>\nhttps://broward.libnet.info/event/7633907
