 \, as well as many other books for children\, teens\, and adults. She has 
 published many resource books for educators and librarians: A Box Full of 
 Tales: Easy Ways to Share Library Resources through Story Boxes (ALA Editi
 ons\, 2008)\, and Try Your Hand at This!: Easy Ways to Incorporate Sign La
 nguage into Your Programs (Scarecrow Press\, 2006)\, as well as the coauth
 or (with Christine Kirker) of five books in the Storytime Magic storytime 
 resource series from ALA Editions. She served as the Library/Media Special
 ist at the Maryland School for the Deaf\, Columbia Campus from 2001 to 200
 5. Before that she served as a Children?s Services Supervisor at the Carro
 ll County (MD) Public Library\, where she presented hundreds of storytime 
 programs for all ages. Since founding Stories By Hand\,&nbsp\;Kathy&nbsp\;
 has presented American Sign Language programs for thousands of children an
 d parents in public libraries throughout the Midatlantic. She also serves 
 on the board of Deaf Camps\, Inc.&nbsp\;Kathy&nbsp\;has published numerous
  books and articles on topics relating to American Sign Language. She hold
 s a Master of Library Science from the University of Maryland\, a Bachelor
  of English from the Catholic University of America\, and a Certificate of
  American Sign Language Interpreting from the Community College of Baltimo
