 ><strong>Artist Statement</strong></span></p>\n<p>The original idea for Av
 enues Open Studios was to provide a venue for artists in the Avenues neigh
 borhood of Salt Lake City.</p>\n<p>We discussed at length the difficulty f
 aced by many artists who have few options to display and promote their wor
 k in recent years. Many galleries have closed\, many more restrict inclusi
 on to those artists who are well known\, mainstream and profitable. Artist
 s who do not fit into the art business mold have no avenue for expression.
 </p>\n<p>Avenues Open Studios was therefore conceived to include and embra
 ce not only well-known artists\, but neighborhood outsiders as well. Those
  artists who create experimental and unusual work\, often without regard t
 o perceived value&hellip\;in short\, artists who have been excluded from t
 he usual art community.</p>\n<p>Therefore\, our statement of purpose:</p>\
 n<p>No Judging</p>\n<p>No Censoring</p>\n<p>No Exclusion - everyone welcom
 e</p>\n<p>Art&hellip\;Off the Grid.</p>\n<p>The Avenues neighborhood is we
 ll-known as the City&rsquo\;s home to outsiders of all stripes. Namely\, d
 iversity in all it&rsquo\;s permutations. We are proud to be different and
  proud to offer inclusion to those who may not have been welcomed before&h
 ellip\;we are artists first.</p>\n<p>Dates &amp\; Times 2023 - Our 9th Yea
 r!</p>\n<p>Friday\, September 22nd - 4pm to 8pm</p>\n<p>Saturday\, Septemb
 er 23rd - 11am to 7pm</p>\n<p>Avenues Open Studios is entirely independent
  and self-funded and offers our visitors a chance to see art that may not
