This 4-week course will help students in g rades 5&ndash\;8 begin their journey into programming by introducing and t eaching them Python\, one of the world's most versatile and used programmi ng languages. Through a combination of fun\, hands-on activities and mathe matical concepts\, students will gain proficiency in both programming synt ax and problem solving. The course is facilitated by AcademiaEdge\, a stud ent-led nonprofit organization aimed to teach programming and problem-solv ing skills that is comprised of Carmel High School students.

This 4-week introductory course takes each Saturday in February from 10&ndash\; 11:30am. Registration for the event includes participation in all four pro grams. Students registering for the event will be required to set up a Repli t account in advance by clicking here. Registrants will need to bring their own laptops or Chromebooks.
