Gather in the Library's historic front roo ms for the warmth of harp music with Sabrina Vaughan. The Library will suppl y hearts to color and supplies to make paper hearts for local nursing home residents. You may also enjoy the stillness of listening or browsing new books and magazines during this program for all ages.
\nAbou t the Musician
\nSabrina Rose Vaughan was first introduced to the harp at the age of six\, when her grandmother taught her the first notes of music on a Celtic lap harp custom built by her grandfather. She s oon progressed to a full-size lever harp\, learning to play music by ear. She began her formal music training at age nine at the Louisville Harp Aca demy (KY)\, studying under harp soloist and instructor\, Lisa Spurlock Gil more\, from 2009-2018. Sabrina graduated with a bachelor's degree in instr umental music and a minor in global studies from Liberty University. She w as awarded the Roslyn Rensch Harp Fellowship at the University of Illinois where she is earning her master&rsquo\;s degree in Harp Performance and L iterature. She has performed with the Seminary School of the Arts Faculty and Friends String Orchestra (Southern Theological Seminary)\, the Louisvi lle Civic Orchestra (Bellarmine University)\, the Liberty University Symph ony Orchestra\, and the Missouri Symphony during the MSO Summer 2022 Music Festival.
