\nM ichael Cassara is a professional genealogist and lecturer based in New Yor k City\, specializing in Italian/Sicilian genealogy\, 20th century US immi gration\, and genealogical technology. He has frequently presented at nati onal conferences\, including four years of presentations at RootsTech\, a recent talk at the 2018 Association of Professional Genealogists Professio nal Management Conference\, and a popular 2019 APG Webinar on genealogical technology. Additionally\, he speaks on numerous topics to local and regi onal societies throughout the United States. Michael holds a Certificate i n Genealogical Research from Boston University (OL19) and is a graduate of the ProGen Study Group (ProGen 43).
\nMichael has served on the boa rd of the Italian Genealogical Group for a number of years and currently s erves as its President.
