\nRussell P. Baker is t he retired archival supervisor and former acting director of the Arkansas State Archives in Little Rock. Since 2013\, he has been the Senior Editor of the Arkansas Family Historian. He has also served on the Board of Direc tors of the Arkansas Genealogical Society for many decades. He is the auth or of two of AGS&rsquo\;s most popular publications\, the Arkansas Townshi p Atlas and Arkansas Post Offices: From Memdag to Norsk\, A Historical Dir ectory 1832-1900. Over the years\, he has frequently lectured nationally o n genealogical research and theory.
